What makes us different than the rest?

We are on site 24/7

Unlike most places, we never clock out. We live on property and are tending to your dogs day and night. But what does this really mean?

  • Late night potty breaks. Is your dog used to going out at 9:00 pm each night? We can accommodate that.

  • Does your dog have a strict medication schedule? We can make sure medications are given when needed. We are able to administer all medication types, insulin included!

  • Our limited boarding means we can spend more time with your dogs one-on-one. This is especially great for puppies. Puppies need daily enrichment both physically and mentally. Bring your puppies favorite kong or other enrichment toy and we will happily fill it with peanut butter, treats or whatever their favorite snack is!

Requirements for boarding

  • All dogs must have a current rabies vaccine in order to board.

  • We ask that you bring your dogs food and any treats they love to have.

  • You are also welcome to bring bedding and blankets, we only ask that you do NOT bring bowls or plush toys.

  • We require all new boarding clients do a trial daycare day prior to any long-term boarding. You are only required to do this once and this trial day is at no cost to you. Our property is family owned and operated, with children and small animals. We want to ensure your pup will acclimate well to life here as smoothly as possible and of course is for everyone’s safety!


Who are we?

Alexis Hectorne

Alexis has worked in the dog industry most of her life. She is an AKC Professional Handler, Breeder and Member of the Finnish Lapphund Club of America. Alexis started TaylorMade Kennel in 2021 and has been boarding show clients privately and made the decision to open her kennel to the public. Alexis has vast knowledge in dog husbandry and is looking forward to bringing her passion for dogs to the Memphis-Metro Area.

Stephen Hectorne

Stephen has been Alexis’s right hand for the past 5 years and is your typical dog dad. Here at TaylorMade he has many rolls. When hes not cheering on the Memphis Grizzlies Basketball team he’s tending to the property or helping Alexis with client dogs.

Carlye Haptonstall

Carlye has 7 years in the dog boarding industry under her belt and has assisted Alexis at dog shows for the past 2 years. She owns 2 dogs herself and has loved learning about dogs and different dog breeds throughout the years. Carlye’s main roll here at TaylorMade is our Marketing and Social Media Manager, but you will also see her from time to time helping with the dogs and other things here on the property.

Katelyn Karcher

Katelyn is our kennel technician and has been working in the dog industry for 4 years. She has been with us since the spring of 2024! Katelyn’s duties here mainly consist of tending to the dogs, and assisting with clients dropping off or picking up!
